Hello there! My name is Hassan and I live in California! My formal teaching experience spans five years and includes working as a faculty at two international colleges. Here are some of the classes I've designed and taught: Effective Writing, Mastering Grammar, Public Speaking, and Cross-Cultural Communication. I also have experience helping students write and edit everything from emails to academic essays to personal statements for college and graduate school. I can help you take your oral and written communication skills to the next level! In addition, I've studied Arabic for ten years, including at the University of Chicago Divinity School and in Egypt and Jordan, where I lived for a year under a Fulbright. Having studied Arabic as a child from an Egyptian Qur'an teacher, I have native pronunciation. I tutor in both Modern Standard Arabic and the Levantine dialect. Finally, I’m a heritage speaker of Urdu and have had a passion for this beautiful language since childhood. I studied the language for one year in college and two years at the Master's level under a FLAS (Foreign Language and Area Studies) scholarship from the U.S. government. I specialized in reading and analyzing literary texts and poetry in Urdu. I believe in putting you, the student, in the driver's seat of your own educational journey.
