I believe in working with my students in a way that makes them active learners, rather than having me give them answers. I also like to work on problems together. I feel that learning this way instills a sense of confidence in the student, and makes them independent thinkers. I also want my students to feel comfortable, and be able to come to me with any questions they have. I have been a teacher and tutor for over fifteen years, and I want all my students to be able to practice independent thinking. I offer tutoring in Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, College Essays, American History, European History, Public Speaking, English, Social Studies, IB Film HL and SL, IB Extended Essay, U.S. History, Art, and test prep for the GRE, GMAT, and SAT.I am a graduate of the University of Oregon, as well as the University of Southern California. In my free time, I love to write, and make films. I love anything to do with traveling the world, learning new languages, art and theater, and, of course, writing.
