Experience
I attended Ohio State University for my bachelor's degree in math, and I continued on as a graduate student in the pursuit of my doctoral degree before making a change to move to Los Angeles. I have nine years of experience as an educator, and I began tutoring math as a high school student. I also taught courses when I was an undergraduate student. I've worked with everyone from elementary school students to college students, covering pre-algebra through differential equations. I enjoy working with students in a collaborative and comfortable environment where students have fun learning. I focus on identifying teaching approaches that work best for each individual student that I work with. Ultimately, I want to help my students develop a strong understanding of subjects so that they can apply their knowledge on the current course and throughout their academic careers. I can tutor subjects such as algebra, calculus, physics, differential equations, multivariable calculus, geometry, elementary and middle school math, pre-calculus, trigonometry, finite math, discrete math, statistics, physics, probability, and statistics. When I have some spare time, I enjoy listening to music, science fiction, playing games, and cooking.
