Samer Al Salek has a Ph. D. in mechanical engineering graduated in 2005 from Bauman Moscow State Technical University (MSTU), Moscow, Russia. He started his academic teaching at Higher Institute for Applied Science and Technology (HIAST) in Damascus as prefessor. Moreover, he worked as a private tutor during his studying at Damascus Uneversity. He is currently teaching Math and Physics at Innovation Education in Lancaster, CA. A strong advocate of hands-on, inquiry-based learning, he involves his students in connecting between theory and practice, problem-solving, and technology-infused activities that provide them with opportunities to use their scientific knowledge to help others through applying it to real life situations. He tries to connect science concepts with real life. He also believes that every student is capable of learning, but teachers have the responsibility to discover the key to their students’ mind. His professional interests focus on interactive approaches to science and math teaching, structural planning, and cooperative learning He was forced to leave his home country Syria because of the war that started in 2012. He arrived at the United States in 2015, and started to work on improving his English and enginnering skills . He very passionate about teaching and tries to make the learning process as easy and fun as possible. Having a long experience, he is able to break down complicated concepts to make it easier for the tutee to understand them.
