I attended Southern Methodist University for college on a full-ride scholarship. There I received a bachelors in science in Computer Science and a bachelors of arts in Chemistry. I earned my engineering degree while simultaenously taking pre-med courses. I was highly involved in both the engineering and science departments. Today, I attend Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California on a full-tuition scholarship. I am part of the graduating class of 2020. I am a Dean's Research Scholar and am conducting research in digital health. This research fulfills me by combining my love for technology and medicine.
Experience
I have been a private tutor since the age of 16. I earned my full-tuition and full-ride scholarships by scoring highly on my entrance exams. These exams include the MCAT, ACT, AP, SAT, and USMLE Step 1. I am well-rounded with diverse interests outside of academics. I have a personality that shines in my tutoring session and I make tutoring fun. I have experience tutoring children ADHD and learning disabilities. I have achieved promise in students who do not excel in school naturally. The reason I tutor is to because I want students to like what they are learning and not dread school. Tutoring is also a great opportunity for me to revisit topics that I love and keeps me fulfilled. Since I have a dual degree in engineering and science, I have taken the majority of science, technology, engineering and mathetimatics (STEM) courses. I understand concepts on a high level and am able to translate tough topics and make it easier for my students to have good grasp and difficult topics. You should be confident that I am a great tutor for your child. I also have conducted extensive research in digital health and am well-versed on the scientific method.
