Education

I hold a BA and a PhD from the University of Rome, and a Master from the University of Pisa. Before moving to California I have taught at NYU and have tutored students at Trinity School NYC. I am currently Professor of Latin at USC.

Experience

I am a Professor of Latin, Greek and Ancient Civilization at USC. I am originally from Italy and speak fluently English, Spanish and German. I enjoy teaching at all levels and find the experience of private tutoring particularly rewarding. I teach Latin, Greek, Italian at all levels, both to students who need some help with their college or high school programs, but also to amateurs who would like to be introduced to the ancient languages and to the marvels of ancient civilizations. It does not take long to become able to appreciate in the original masterpieces such as Sophocles' Oedipus and Virgil's Aeneid, and these can be an invaluable source of inspiration for poets, writers, or simply passionate readers. I also work with scholars who need to learn Latin or Greek in order to work with ancient documents. In addition, I enjoy teaching and offering conversation classes in my native Italian.
