ExperienceFor over ten years I have been working with students to improve their understanding of complex concepts and accelerate their academic achievements. I tutored for Varsity Tutors in St Louis, a prestigious tutoring agency, for over five years, and I started my own tutoring agency and have trained other tutors to maintain a high level of excellence in subject matter mastery and teaching strategy. In addition, I have been a teaching assistant for two undergraduate courses, I have taken several years of science courses, and I am passionate about education. I have done all of the traditional premedical school preparation including the MCAT. I am currently building a start-up company in Los Angeles, and I use my science and math skills on a daily basis. This makes me remarkably well prepared to teach science skills to students of all ages and prepare students for success on the MCAT, in pre-med courses, on the GMAT, in business courses, and on successfully getting into the best medical and business programs. In addition, I have lived in France (Nice) as well as Germany (Munich), and I am always happy to work with students on French and German language skills.
HobbiesI am interested in languages and traveling. I play ice hokey, kitesurf, snowboard, wakeboard, and other active outdoor sports. I also enjoy playing guitar and piano, and I hope to learn the saxophone soon.

Matt was very professional and contacted me back immediately. During each session, he was very helpful and clearly explained and worked through statistics problems with me. It was apparent that he was very knowledgeable in an array of mathematical subjects. He was patient with my questions and provided excellent feedback. He is quick to respond each time I contact him and flexible in his schedule. I would highly recommend Matt to anyone seeking extra help.
Matt is a fantastic tutor. He's an absolute genius, and he was always very flexible with his schedule. I tutored with him for two months for the MCAT, and my score jumped up about ten points. He really cares about his students, and he very much caters his tutoring style to the individual. I think tutoring with him was the best decision I could have made for my score. I would without a doubt recommend him for any type of tutoring. Overall, it was a great experience- so thanks, Matt!
Matt has an incredible ability to take really complex concepts and boil them down to the most understandable, everyday analogies! He's very patient and flexible, and he's actually fun to learn from! I would recommend Matt to anyone who wants to do better in those tough science / math classes!
