Experience
One year tutoring Hebrew. I enjoy working with children, and love teaching. I have assisted in several different school settings including inclusive settings, Therapeutic settings, and in after school programs as well as pre-school settings. I am very creative and work well with children. I've taken classes in childen's literature, English language, 2 years Hebrew in High School as well as throughout Elementary and middle school. I have a strong background in Judaic studies, and have tutored public school children who were just starting to attend Jewish day schools in basic religious studies as well as Hebrew. I also helped tutor 11 and twelve year old boys in basic Hebrew reading for a year to help them prepare for their bar mitzvahs or rites of passage. I've done a lot of volunteer teaching, or working alongside classroom teachers helping preparing lesson plans and even implemented some of my own creative lesson plans based on children's interests. I am a creative thinker and I enjoy engaging children in their own learning and value individual learning styles. I've also tutored children in basic Mathematics skills in their own classrooms, and have experience with switching over to concrete methods of teaching concepts when the children don't understand the abstract concepts.

Hobbies
I enjoy dancing, drawing and painting. I have taught and assisted children in learning basic dance steps as well as played piano flute, and recorder. I also played guitar briefly, and enjoy listening to music and singing with children. I have also helped children with planning and organizing as well as putting on shows and performances. I also have experience working with children with special needs, and work well with children one on one or in small groups of two or three. I am very positive and encouraging in working with children who are struggling with their academic subjects and also with helping children with organizational skills. I also have experience with breaking up longer assignments into smaller chunks and have a creative mind which allows me to come up with multi modal methods for children to learn. I am committed to helping students achieve success in school, and also have a good sense of perception about the needs of the students as I get to know them. I also enjoy writing my own stories and fictional works and I enjoy coming up with creative lesson Ideas that encourage students to use their imagination and own ideas. I enjoy volunteering in different schools and have a strong interest and love for working with children. I also know the value of perseverance and work hard to pass that on to my students.
