ExperienceI have a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. I am completing my PhD in Biomedical Physics at the University of California in Los Angeles. I have tutoring experience with both children and adults. The classes I am most comfortable tutoring are math related. These classes include Calculus, Chemistry, and Algebra. I have worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Cell Biology. I was a Graduate Teaching Assistant for a Biomedical Engineering Pre-College program. I have also tutored Arabic and piano. I like to make learning fun in hopes that the student will stay interested in the subject. I start my tutor sessions by going over basics to understand the level of knowledge each student has. I believe it is important to understand the subject you are learning. I work with students by giving practice problems. The years of tutoring have helped me understand that everyone learns differently. It is important to learn each person's learning style to help them be a success. You must understand the student's educational level, background, and learning goals to help them the most. I also have years of experience tutoring in the math sections of standardized tests.
