Experience
I got my start in tutoring by dragging my artsy friends through high school math and science and helping my four younger siblings with homework and college applications. I tutored for various organizations throughout my entire time in college--I tutored biology through my own department, assorted math and science through the Women in Science program, organic chemistry for the athletic department, and pretty much anything working freelance with high school students. I've since worked as a TA at UCLA teaching upper division biology courses. I love to tutor because I am fascinated by the process of learning. Figuring out how to communicate complicated concepts in ways that a student can grasp is a puzzle that I genuinely enjoy. ***Regarding AP SCIENCE EXAMS*** I took AP Biology and AP Chemistry with amazing, very experienced instructors who prepared me well to score well on the AP exams. I know that many students don't have the advantage of similarly skilled instructors and I would love to help bridge that gap. I know both the content and the test taking skills you need to succeed on the AP exams.

I love biking to work, I do yoga daily, and go rock climbing when I can fit it in. I also bake like a maniac and attend a weekly board game night full of some of the weirdest, most awesome 20-something nerds in LA.
