EducationHello! I am currently a 4th year Psychobiology major at UCLA. My current GPA is 3.8 in a rigorous, hard-science, pre-medical curriculum. I received the merit-based UCLA Alumni Scholarship Award and am a lifetime member of the Alumni Scholars Club. I have completed all of the lower division science courses, which include Biology, Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, as well as Physics, and would love to share my experiences in all of the above! I will go on to take further courses in this academic area. I also have a passion for math and specifically for high-schoolers, I offer tutoring for SAT 1 in the Math section as well as SAT II Math subject test.
---I have tutored 5 years now.
As for teaching experience, I am an American Heart Association CPR/First-Aid Instructor. As such, I've developed strong interpersonal skills. I work great with any personality and can assess and rectify failures in communication. I speak with clarity and positivity, which I feel is key in keeping students engaged with learning. Finally, I've also tutored for Elite Education Institute; there, I prepared students for the AP Biology and Chemistry exams.

Even though I've done relatively well in all of my classes, I definitely did not breeze through them. I study hard and often, so along the way I've picked up methods for effective study and ways to break down complex material. I understand the difficulties that students go through, and I want to help overcome them!
HobbiesI am a reliable and hard-working student-mentor. My greatest strengths include my communication skills and my ability to motivate people to do their best. I employ a healthy balance of encouragement and accountability to teach my students to push themselves to their limits and to never settle for mediocrity. My goal in tutoring is to help students form good habits, skills, and confidence in pursuing their goals.
Outside of academics, I am in the highly competitive UCLA Dragon Boat team and also passionate about basketball and fitness.
