Experience
Tutoring is one of the most fulfilling jobs I've had. Tutoring allows me the chance to bring out the best in students, allowing them to realize their full potential to succeed and develop. My drive to keep students engaged is undying. Work Experience: -I currently work as a one-on-one math tutor for two clients--a client currently in elementary school and another in middle school. -I worked as a tutor at BrainWorks Tutoring in La Crescenta, CA, specifically encouraging students to develop proficiency in study skills and in various other subjects--such as Algebra, Geometry, English, Biology, History, and Writing. -Prior to BrainWorks, I worked as a one-on-one tutor for multiple clients, particularly teaching mathematical and writing skills to middle school and high school students. -In addition to working in a tutoring center and in students' residences, I have much experience in tutoring in a classroom setting. I have worked at Eagle Rock High School as a tutor for 9th grade Algebra and Writing, and I have served as a mentor for students with special needs. I have also worked with the Flintridge Center over the past summer to mentor and tutor students in Pasadena high schools struggling to cover core requirements in Algebra.
