Currently, I work at a reputable literary agency, where I edit manuscripts of clients including Gayle Forman, James Dashner, and Lisa McMann. I have an extensive background in creative writing. I also have an impressive background tutoring students of all levels, college to elementary school, and in all subjects. While in grad school at Antioch University Los Angeles, I worked for the university editing and tutoring students on college essays from undergraduates to Ph.D. students. Previously, I worked as an ESL teacher in Japan. I am strongest in English and Science, although I prepare fully before each session, so each student should feel comfortable knowing they will be be tutored fully in any subject they ask of me. My aspiration is to one day become a writing professor (creative and academic). I hope that tutoring will better help me learn how to teach students of all levels.

Hobbies
After graduating with my MFA, I have been working on a middle grade novel. I also co-wrote an opera called "Hopscotch," which was critically acclaimed in the LA Times, New York Times, and the New Yorker, among many others. I also travelled for many years before starting graduating college. I worked in the zoology field, producing and assisting many research projects. This gave me a great love for science and kept me in practice with my scientific writing, math, and biology skills. I also worked in Japan with all levels of students (baby-adult) teaching them English as a second language. I always worked very hard so I could have these experiences!
